B3, an e-commerce service provider that offers turnkey e-commerce solutions to labels and other entertainment companies, needed a digital music delivery service that could seamlessly integrate into its existing e-commerce platform.   It was also essential for the music service to be customizable from both a content and design standpoint to accommodate the diverse needs of B3’s clientele and the various e-commerce stores the company supports.

B3 found the solution it was looking for with Puretracks Web Service.  Through its Web Service, Puretracks was able to integrate its digital music platform into B3’s e-commerce service, and provide the company with a comprehensive, customizable solution that enables B3 to tailor the entire front end music experience for clients such a Hip-O Select, a direct-to-consumer imprint owned by Universal Music Group. Hip-O Select, which caters primarily to Motown fans, wanted the ability to sell Motown MP3 tracks from its existing site – which also sells apparel and other items. In addition, the company wanted to design a front end music store that would reflect the look and feel of its web site.

With Puretracks Web Service, B3 is able to offer Hip-O Select and other clients a comprehensive, turnkey music solution that meets their unique needs, while leveraging Puretracks’ digital music catalog, label licensing agreements, fulfillment services and reporting.
