Program Spotlight: Carlson Marketing

Carlson Marketing, a global marketing services company which develops and facilitates loyalty programs for top brands throughout the U.S. and Canada, wanted to launch a music rewards program to respond to consumers’ growing appetite for digital music.

The marketing firm needed a robust, best-of-class music solution that would reflect the high standards of AT&T, Pfizer, State Farm, Visa and other clients it serves.  Because the music would be selected as a reward in exchange for points earned by loyal customers, an excellent consumer experience was also a must.

To address its needs, Carlson turned to Puretracks.  Puretracks worked with the marketing firm to build a branded music store, Upbeats, and develop a user-friendly loyalty redemption solution.

To obtain the music reward, loyalty program participants simply choose music from the list of rewards featured in Carlson Marketing’s white label e-catalog and redeem points.  A music code and instructions to download songs from the Upbeats music store is instantly emailed to them.  By delivering the music code via e-mail, Carlson was able to eliminate distribution costs, providing a low-cost, high-value solution for its clients.
